Facilities:

 

1st Floor: Reception/Admissions and Emergency:

      All new patients must pass through Admissions on the 1st floor.

Emergency patients can be placed in a bed in the Emergency Room

(We have 3 beds available there).

 

2nd Floor: Canteen, Medical Lab, and Patient Rooms:

      The 2nd floor contains 4 private patient rooms, a staff office, a medical

lab/pharmacy, and a staff break area/cafeteria.

 

3rd floor: Exam room, Surgery, and the Mental Health Ward:

      Dr Zelin's office is on the 3rd floor in the Mental Health Ward. The Ward also has 4 padded cells for patients (these should only be used under orders of the medical staff, the padded cells are not for officers to use to "park" inmates). Across the hall is the exam room and the surgical unit.

What to do if an inmate requires medical or psychiatric treatment:

 

      Because the hospital is not as secure as the prison is, all incoming inmate patients must be escorted by an officer. If, for some reason, you need to leave a prisoner in the reception area, I have installed two leash posts in the corner so you can restrain them until a member of medical staff can see them. I would prefer that patients NOT be admitted without medical staff evaluating their condition and then filing the appropriate medical report in our system so we know exactly what is going on with each patient. If the inmate's medical complaint is not of an emergent nature, it's perfectly acceptable to tell them to wait until they can be taken to the hospital at a time when medical staff is available to assess and treat them.

      Having a fully equipped hospital will enable us to enrich the roleplaying experience for our visitors, and, since some visitors might want to experience medical RP but not necessarily prison RP, the hospital could also increase traffic to the sim by attracting a different set of roleplayers than we've previously had.
